Blocky Logs

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

  • Summary

Blocky Logs is built to be private by default. We do not collect, receive, sell, or share your personal information. You do not need an account to use the app, and we do not run any servers that store your data.

    • No accounts, no sign-ups, no profiles.
    • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDKs.
    • Your time logs, areas, notes and settings stay on your device.
    • Optional iCloud Sync uses your iCloud account to keep your devices in step. We never see that data.
  • Who we are

Blocky Logs is made by Minibit Studio, an independent developer publishing small, native apps for the Apple ecosystem. For any privacy question, you can reach us at hello@minibit.studio.

  • Information stored on your device

When you use Blocky Logs, the app creates and saves data locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, including:

    • Time logs (start time, duration, area, notes).
    • Areas you create to organise your time.
    • Duration presets and other in-app preferences.

This information lives in the app’s sandbox on your device and is governed by the operating system’s standard protections. It is never transmitted to Minibit Studio.

  • iCloud Sync

If you are signed into iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled for Blocky Logs, your areas and logged time can sync between your devices through Apple’s CloudKit service. The data is stored in your private iCloud container under your Apple Account.

We have no access to your iCloud container and cannot read, export, or delete its contents. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

You can disable sync at any time in Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.

  • Calendar access

Blocky Logs can show a summary of your day’s appointments next to your time logs. If you grant calendar access, the app reads events directly from the system calendar on your device using Apple’s EventKit framework. Calendar events are never copied off your device, sent to us, or used for any other purpose. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

  • Notifications and Live Activities

With your permission, Blocky Logs schedules local notifications (for example, when a timer ends or it is time for a break) and may display Live Activities on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. These are generated and delivered on-device. Blocky Logs does not use remote push notifications and does not register a push token on any server we operate.

  • Exporting your data

Blocky Logs lets you export your time logs in machine-readable formats (such as CSV or JSON). Exports are generated on your device and shared only through the system share sheet to the destination you choose. We do not receive a copy.

  • Purchases

Blocky Logs is sold on a one-time basis through the Apple App Store. All payment information is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We receive aggregate, anonymised sales reports from App Store Connect and never see your name, email address, payment method, or device identifier.

  • Third-party services

Blocky Logs is built with native Apple technologies and does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only services it interacts with are the Apple platform services described above (iCloud, EventKit, local notifications, the App Store).

  • Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device and in your iCloud account, you are in control of how long it is kept. You can delete individual logs and areas inside the app, remove all of it by deleting the app from your device, or clear the synced copy from Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

  • Children

Blocky Logs is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

  • Your rights

Because Minibit Studio does not collect or store your personal information, we have no records to access, correct, port, or delete on your behalf. If you have a question about your rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or another privacy law, please write to us at hello@minibit.studio and we will respond as soon as we can.

  • Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, mention it in the release notes of an upcoming app update. Continued use of Blocky Logs after a change means you accept the revised policy.
